Camp ALOMA appreciates your donations
Lutheran church camps provide an important ministry for youth who go to camp as well as groups that attend camp. Many church leaders and pastors claim that attending a camp was not only an important part of their faith formation, but that it continues to be important for their continued role in ministry, allowing them to personally retreat, and reconnect with God. For over 40 years, Camp ALOMA has been our church camp.
The revenue that can be generated from camper and group fees is limited. If we were to set our fees at a rate high enough to cover all of our necessary expenses, we feel we would turn groups or campers away, especially some of the ones who need a caring place like ALOMA the most. Donations are needed in order to keep the camp going.
Most of the Lutheran camps in the country rely on donations to supplement their fees. Camp ALOMA has several wonderful donors, who we greatly appreciate, but we have not received the level of donations needed to support all of the ministries currently offered, let alone any needed new staff or programming.
We ask that you prayerfully consider either making a one-time donation, becoming a Camp ALOMA partner, or purchasing something on one of our wishlists for us. A partner makes an on-going monthly commitment to the camp. Checks payable to Camp ALOMA can be sent directly to the camp or donations can be set up securely online. To donate online, please click the Donate button below that will take you to our PayPal account, where donations can be given on an individual basis, or where you can set it up to have monthly donations given automatically. Please remember that no amount is too small and all donations are appreciated. Your donation can help us continue pointing others to Christ.
We currently have 2 wishlists on Amazon.com. The first is a general wish list with everyday items that are needed at camp, and the other is a wish list for the Camp Library. The items on the lists are mostly examples of items we are looking at, and we would be happy to accept donations of similar, or used items and certainly do not need the items to be purchased on Amazon.com
